We are thrilled to announce that our research postgraduate student, Ms. Lauren Choo has dazzled the HKBU community by winning a third runner-up in the Grand Final of the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, held by The Language Center on May 12th. Her compelling presentation skills, honed under the supervision of Dr. Ren Kangning of the Chemistry Department, earned her a HKD 2,000 research travel grant. Ms. Choo's performance brilliantly reflected the rigorous academic training and the art of effective communication.

The 3MT contest, pioneered by The University of Queensland and now embraced by over 900 institutions globally, empowers researchers to distill complex ideas into concise, engaging narratives. We extend our sincere congratulations to Ms. Choo for her exemplary success in this prestigious competition, showcasing her exceptional talent and bringing pride to our department and her mentor.
