The first HKBU-USM Symposium on Chemical and Biomedical Sciences was successfully held on 8th January 2024 at HKBU

The first HKBU-USM Symposium on Chemical and Biomedical Sciences was successfully held on 8th January 2024 at HKBU where finest scientific researchers from both universities share similar research interests on environmental chemistry and biomedical chemistry.

This symposium marks an exciting milestone in the partnership between Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Both institutions share a common vision of advancing scientific research and nurturing future leaders in these critical disciplines. We are privileged to have invited Professor Zilfalil Bin Alwi, one of the world's reputable geneticists who is also the UNESCO Chair on Human Genetics of Thalassemia and a member of the World Health Organization (WHO) Technical Advisory Group on Genomics, to join the event.
Through this symposium, scholars from both universities come together to explore groundbreaking research, exchange ideas, and foster meaningful connections that shape the future of chemical and biomedical sciences.

Stay tuned for more symposium series to come.
